Oh, high-heeled shoes. It's true: you really do know how to put the sexy, the classy, the modern in any ensemble, especially gold high heel shoes (my favourite colour). I keep seeing them in almost every fashion blog and catalog I follow. Strappy, sandal wedges and platforms. Not only are they really, really hot this season, but they work with pretty much anything! Plus, I think I would feel much safer walking around with a blocky, reinforced heel than towering, pencil thin stilettos. I can't help feeling that tiny sticks are hardly enough support for a 100+ pound human. Plus, a nice pair of wedges or platforms are immediately more casual, wearable, and, in my honest opinion, less likely to be a little trashy looking. The choices are endless, which is probably why I (and a lot of women I know) own what is probably too many paors of shoes for our own good. Personally, I'm a huge fan of creamy, earthy neutrals when I go to the shoe department, but hopefully they're not too redundant.

Most of my friends have had babies now - we're in our early 30s and I'm the only one who is still childless. And yet, I don't feel the urge to step into maternity clothes and join the club. I am glad I don't feel this urge because right now I'm doing so well in my job, I just can't afford to take months off work and expect to get back to work where I left off. Maybe I'll never get the urge to have kids at all - who knows? If that's the case, then so be it - if I don't want them, I won't be missing them, and I know my job would keep me fulfilled for many years to come too. I say live and let live - and I'm glad my friends think this too - they've never pressured me to join their maternity club - and I really appreciate that. |

Of course everyone has heard this at least once before. In my case it is true! When you enter my home, the first thing you see is an entire wall lined with shoes - from suede ankle boots to trainers. Not ceiling high, but a double row several yards long. And those are just the shoes that are in-season. The rest is always in storage in the basement, I could not fit them all into my apartment. They range from sneakers, flats, ballerinas, business-like high heels, Mary Janes, flat and high-heeled sandals and an unwholesome number of boots. I need to have different colors for every heel-size and preferably several options for every weather condition. I love to match my clothes and pick the perfect shoes to go with it. Sometimes I choose a demure outfit and wear red or blue statement shoes. I love the elegant line my legs make when wearing high-heeled boots. There is nothing like a light skirt on a summer day and playful ballerina flats or breezy sandals. I make statements with my shoes, I express my personality. And I need more every season. |

Generally speaking, one could say jewelries are people's close friends. No matter what the gender is, every one is sometimes caught into taking time to choose and wear the jewelries they want before going somewhere. It surely is better to see ones attire or outfit complemented with a twist of added bling. fashion jewelry are fine investment to anyone who wants to keep a collection of stuffs that can dramatically change their look with even just simple clothes on.
These may include necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, watches or anklets. Most of these come in different styles and kinds depending on the person's preference. Others really find the expensive ones while some stick to the not so expensive pieces. Sizes, designs and colors of these jewelries may vary based on the trend and latest fashion. But no matter how different each thing is in terms of prices, value, or styles, it is still important to accessorize with your own taste and touch. Wearing these items on doesn't have to be showing off that you can afford buying them, but it's more like expressing your personality and unique self through these accessories. |

I love going to the races - I love a little flutter on the day, and I love the champagne and wonderful food, and most of all the atmosphere, especially Ascot!
But one thing I can't do - I can't wear heels at the races, even if I do dress up. I wear trainers. It just makes sense - I'm often walking on the grass there (one of my friends is a racehorse owner), so I eschew all those gladiator high heel shoes and whatnot. For me, trainers are just practical. Yes I can see the eyes looking down at my feet, and not at my wonderful hat and fascinator - but usually those who look, also smile - there's a knowledge behind that smile that agrees with my practicality.
I did notice on my last visit to the races two other women wearing trainers too - so perhaps I'm setting a trend here? |

One of my relatives who is married luckily fell pregnant last year. Recently when I met her, she told me about her experience about pregnancy. She told me that when she visited her doctor last year for a check up, she came to know that she was pregnant - as a complete surprise. She was advised to strictly avoid cigarettes, alcohol and unnecessay drugs. As she was imbued with common sense, she avoided all the things which her doctor had advised and started maintaining a well-balanced diet and stopped having foodstuffs with high calories. She was against the idea of getting overweight before the the birth of the baby. She wore sensible maternity dresses for her comfort too. She started doing exercises which would strengthen her arms as strong arms are required to carry the baby around. And finally after nine months, she gave birth to a healthy baby and was very much happy with all the efforts she took in the nine months of pregnancy. |

I've always wanted to open a lingerie shop in my town, having seen what's sold online - such as Andorra shorts and other lingerie items.
Yes I could sell online, but I like the idea of running my own bricks and mortar shop in a traditional high street. It's a risky venture for sure - we all know that times are tight for most people - but I believe there are plenty of women in my town who will always want to spend something on luxuries. Fortune favours the brave - at least that's what I hope my bank manager says before giving me the loan I need!
If this venture doesn't work, I'm prepare to use the shop space for other goods - I will make a success of my shop no matter what - and it will certainly be a learning curve and an education for me - that's for sure. |

I went to a lingerie show earlier this month and it really opened my eyes. I bought myself a lovely black lace corset there, but was amazed at the variety of lingerie on show - from gloves to corsets to babydolls to bras to knickers to garter belts!
And the variety of colours - from gold to black to white to pink to green to blue - it seems you can buy any type of lingerie in any type of colour. It lead me to realise how popular lingerie is - yes, it's the "hidden" layer of clothing if you like - it's not like you see women wearing lingerie in the high street - it's for the bedroom - so it's hard to know the demand for it - but this lingerie show told me. And now I want to open up my own lingerie shop in my home town. |
