Compensation claims

If you have had an accident that was not your own fault, then you are entitled to make a compensation claim. This means that you can use a solicitor to go to court for you and request that you are paid some money to make up for the pain and suffering you have endured. This is something which you can do if you have has a car accident, work accident or any other sort of injury caused by something that was not your fault.

Some people do not like the idea of doing this. For example they would not make an accident at work claim because they are worried that it might be bad for them when they return to work or they worry about how the company is going to afford the compensation that they are going to pay to them.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that companies have insurance that will pay for this sort of compensation claim. They legally have to have this sort of insurance and they also have legal obligations with regards to how they treat you if you do make a claim. They are not allowed to cause you any distress by treating you badly if you do make a claim against them. They actually have a legal obligation to make sure they look after their staff and that is why they will have a strict health and safety policy. However, if they do not stick to the policy, then they will get in to trouble and if you have an accident and get injured, they will have to pay.

You need to think about your life and how it has been effected by the accident and what a difference the compensation will make to you. Why should you suffer when they have made a mistake?
